What Kind of Writer Are You?
I work with lots of writers. Some of my writers
are hell-bent on getting an agent or a book publishing
agreement, while others come to coaching because
they can’t reconcile the fact that they feel
called to write and yet never actually do.
My area of expertise is twofold, and my services
involve both coaching and consulting, depending
on what you’re after, where you feel held
back, and where you most need support.
Scenario #1. You’re a writer
who has a book idea, or even a book proposal. Perhaps
you’ve been rejected once, or so many times
you’ve devised strategies for pretending it
never happened. And yet, that project—the
book you’re supposed to write—calls
to you when you’re daydreaming, or whenever
you're stuck in traffic. If you’re this type
of writer, don’t be afraid to dust off that
proposal and drop me a line!
Scenario #2. You love to write,
but publishing isn’t really your top priority.
If it happens that would be okay, certainly, but
you’re more interested to find out if there’s
something deeper you’re supposed to be expressing.
If you’re this type of writer, you need to
connect with your passion for writing, and then
see what unfolds. I can support you to uncover what
you love about writing—and keep you writing,
more and better.
Scenario #3. Boy, do you have
an idea—and you’re motivated. You’re
the type of writer who’s probably a coach
yourself or have benefited from coaching in the
past, and you want a collaborator, someone to see
you through to the finish line and to keep you on
track. Maybe you already have a bite from an agent,
or maybe you already know you’re going to
self-publish but you need some support with the
details. There are so many details! If you’re
this type of writer, don’t waste another minute!
I can help you prioritize what you need to get done
on your timeline, and land you an agent, a book
deal, or see you step-by-step through the self-publishing
process.
Whether you relate to one of the above scenarios,
or you have a whole other situation going on, my
commitment is to support you and challenge you,
always with a focus on your desired results. It
helps to have someone who can “tune in”
to your particular struggle and give clear and honest
feedback, or help you figure out exactly what needs
to happen to make your writing or publishing dreams
a reality. Having support and someone to hold you
accountable to your goals is one of the most important
things you can do for yourself to help you focus
and move forward. |
